Chante Cigale Extrait White 2018

Production

The domaine is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape with a soil characterised by the famous 'galets roulés' on top of the soil. A big part of the vineyard is located on the famous plateau de Cabrières, close to Château Montredon. The size of the vineyard is 5 hectares (12 acres) for the white wine. The Roussanne for Extrait comes from a very specific plot and the vines are over 30 years old. The soils of the vineyard are made up of clay and chalk covered with a layer of the pebbles, which naturally keeps yields low. Manual grape harvest with selective sorting. Yields are limited to 25hl/ha. The wine is aged in new oak demi-muids for 6 months.
