Tenute Pieralisi Nativo Verdicchio Classico [Organic] 2021
Production
The 100% Verdicchio grapes are sourced from the eastern slopes of the Colle del Sole vineyard, an area covering around 4 hectares. The vines are cultivated using the Guyot sysytem, in soils rich in clay and silt, approximately 120m above sea level. The grapes are harvested in the first half of September. Alcoholic fermentation takes place spotaneously with indigenous yeasts, in stainless steel at 14°C, and lasts around 35 days. The wine ages for around 5 months on fine lees before bottling.
Tasting notes
Aromas of citrus with tropical, and some more savoury, notes. The palate is taut and textural, with mineral characters balanced by hints of grapefruit and pineapple. Bright acidity leads to a lightly honeyed, crisp finish.

Spaghetti with clams, seafood risotto, pesto dishes and even a hint of spice.
